The past week was spent saying goodbye to our old interns and greeting our new interns – with a BBQ. Ben and Trang left the safe confines of QTP and Jim (pen drummer) and Andrew (guitarist) are now reading the informative Intern Handbook. They also went into the studio to learn/shoot with the camera and some lights. Interns – go figure.
Roni and Mike attended the AAFCM sponsored Jane Maas presentation. She talked about her book “Mad Women” which talks about life on Madison Ave in the 60′s from the woman’s perspective.
Joel was looking to test some new gear so we took new head shots for many and a sundry uses. Be on the lookout.

The last couple weeks have started a busy production schedule for the QTP Crew. This week the crew shot a commercial spot (or 5) for our customer in Minnetonka. But alas, no pics of that. We do have pics of a passing morning storm, Mike’s renewed addiction, the awards for the St Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards for which we produced the videos, and our fancy new iPad cover.

The past week the QTP Crew spent some quality (read: a lot of) time together in a week long shoot in Minot, ND. And as I’ve always said, “Why not Minot?”
It was a good shoot, gathered lots of footage, and got to know Circadian, our new client, better.
Roni and George drove the QTP Van out and back and I’m sure enjoyed the scenic NoDak vistas on their 7 hour journey (each way). Greg and Shawn got the cushy airplane ride, which allowed them time to explore the oil-rich town.
That left Mike and the Interns (Hmmm, new band name?) back at the office.

Week Peek – April 20, 2012

Busy week for the QTP Crew, but never too busy for a baby visit. Steph, Shawn’s wife, stopped by with then 2 1/2 week old Evie. A few of us were able to get a quick baby fix (love that baby smell). We also had ‘Baby Shower Floats’ which just might become the tradition at QTP.
The St Cloud Area Chamber played a spot we produced for them on the big screen – larger than life. Wow!
And to cap the week off, the Crew attended the Minnesota Opera’s performance of ‘Madame Butterfly.’

This past week the QTP Crew welcomed Evelyn Jean Lewis as our future editor. Shawn and his wife Steph had their beautiful baby girl on March 31st. More pics and stories to come regarding Evie.
While Shawn was out attending to his wife and newborn all week, Greg and George were out with some bug – maybe the flu? Which left Roni and Mike in the office and on a shoot. Roni is watching playback with client and Mike is teaching dance moves to a group of willing(?) participants.

This week we saw a busy Greg put together a rather large RFP with help from Intern Trang and Roni (pictured). And a shoot for the St Cloud Area Chamber with Intern Ben producing. Way to go Interns!
A couple HUGE developments in the QTP Crew world that will be announced in next week’s Week Peek, which just might pique your Peek interest.

Two Bens and a Bug: this week we see our intern Ben taking a sledgehammer to Roni (what?) and then to an old set piece. The other Ben is St. Ben’s (and St. John’s) where Greg and Mike were Center Mentors to their E-Scholars. And our center pictures belong to the Giant Water Bug that was roaming around our office with its menacing raptorial forelegs. Don’t pick it up Roni! It has a fierce bite.

This past week had the QTP Crew mix it up with our friends at the McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship for CSB|SJU – attending a mixer one might and a luncheon (delicious walleye, btw) a couple days later. And on Friday, we broke out the grill for a winter BBQ. (Technically it was winter, but the temperature said summer). Here’s hoping for more sun-splashed Fridays for more grilling ops.
